Should I buy gasoline or propane/natural gas?

Do I need to buy the 240V version or just the 120V?

It depends, do you have an appliance that’s 240V that you need to run on the generator like a stove or a dryer?  If not, stick with the 120V it’s cheaper and simpler.  If you can find a 120V with 240V optional outlet – great.
